Since September 2022, Irène Challand has been the artistic director of the FIFDH – International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights. After a career as a journalist, she was the founder of the Radio Television Suisse (RTS) Documentary Film Unit and its director for 17 years, during which she proved particularly committed to supporting independent producers and filmmakers. Since 2018, she has been in charge of the Public Value division of the SRG – SSR – Swiss Broadcasting Corporation. She has also been involved in several festivals as a member of foundation boards (Visions du Réel and Fribourg International Film Festival – FIFF) and has served on numerous international juries.
